Description

Clean version without the TV banners of the show is here.
This was a fun one to do - the last summery pictures before autumn weather are soon done!

Donna Tannfield & Hey Logan
SHOW: Angelus Estate Summer Dressage Show
CLASS: Advanced Kür
ENTRANT NO: 315
Movement shown is the extended trot (though not trying to overdo the hig-stepping thing).
No ref used for the pose, no stocks used for the background.
Something that could be a part of their kür music could be this version of Wake Me Up by Avicii.

The day was bright and Donna could feel her heart beating. Logan's low breaths were clearly audible next to her even with all the sounds of a show day around them. She really couldn't tell how they would place - there were so many incredible riders and horses, and Logan wasn't that old yet - he hadn't even been to that many bigger shows, really. The well-muscled horse didn't seem nervous, though, and despite his still rather young age he wasn't green or dull. Donna trusted him - she had been schooling him for the entire summer to perfect all the moves they needed for their dressage performance.
Penny had been helping her to get everything sorted out. The girl had also taken care of the grooming Logan needed for their big day and dressed him in a show rug so his white spots wouldn't be yellow in the ring. Donna had got time to worry about everything else.

Black tack was meant to be black, at least according to Donna. She didn't want to see the white padded edges with flaky paint or a thousand silver-coloured metal pieces shining from Logan's bridle like the sun itself. A dark iron bit and a blueish helmet weren't probably the most popular choices for an advanced dressage class, but they were Donna's choice of equipment and she had never really been one to listen to other people's opinions.
Of course, it wasn't that she didn't follow the latest trends - she did, and did it well too - or that she wanted to act special - which, granted, she did more often than not. She just didn't like the extra bling all that much. Her horse was already flashy enough without any extra, and she quite liked the way they looked. Simple and classy, yet stunning and elegant.
Hadley had said as much, as well, even though he had had some trouble expressing the meaning of his sentence between all the 'errs' and 'umms'. It had made Donna smile - she knew that everyone knew that Hadley thought they didn't know, and it was alright.

If someone had asked Donna about her dream horse, she probably wouldn't have told them about Logan. But he came close. He was looking around himself with attentive ears and bright eyes, but there was also a more nervous flick to his tail with the blue ribbon of a stallion. No, nervous wasn't the real word, because he was clearly both exhilarated and oozing confidence to already be on the arena.
"Alright, boy," Donna laughed when she mounted the beautiful coloured stallion and patted his two-tone neck, "Let's go and show them what you've got."
